The Correct Way to Completely Remove Spyware

Removing spyware is easier than contracting a spyware infection.
"Plenty of software on the Web contains spyware, and many Web
sites are infectious."1 That statement should tell you what
had happened and where you got the annoying spyware from. 

There are thousands of diseases affecting humans. Similarly
computers can get infected by thousands of types of spyware,
adware or malware. 

Spyware is a type of malicious program which is designed to
monitor your activities on the computer and install on your
computer programs without your informed consent. This software
is designed to take partial control of your computer while you
are on the internet. The spyware threat is increasing day by day
and infecting more and more computers all the time.

passwords and credit card numbers, then transmit them to a 
third party. The third party will obviously use it for 
his or her benefit. Still further types of spyware known 
as adware keeps on popping up annoying ads. Spyware can 
also cause your computer to slowdown or crash. Some spyware 
enables other users to use your modem to make long 
distance calls.  In any case there is no benefit in having 
these uninvited programs on your computer. 

   
It’s extremely difficult to get rid of spyware. You must 
have probably tried it already and know. However there 
is no cause to get disheartened, as stated earlier it’s 
rather easy to get rid of spyware if you have some tools. 
The tools you will need are a competent software program
to remove spyware, antivirus software and a firewall. 

To remove spyware, scan your computer 
after installing the software, then use the program
to clean all the spyware from your system.  A variety of 
anti spyware software is available in the market.  Most of the
software available on the internet is spurious 
and usually installs more spyware on your computer. 
However there are few like lavasoft’s adaware and 
spybot which are available freely on the internet.  
But the performance of free antispyware software is 
unsatisfactory as they do not provide real-time protection. 
To get real-time protection and other benefits you should opt 
for a commercial software product to completely remove 
spyware. 

After scanning your computer buy or download an antivirus 
software. Avast! is a freely available software. But again 
real time protection is provided only by commercial versions. 
Be sure to buy asoftware from reputable companies. It is 
not unusual to get around 80 spyware on any computer 
connected to the net. 

Finally switch on the firewall of Windows XP or you can 
purchase commercially available personal firewalls for 
better performance.  Doing these three things should 
free your computer of spyware.
